Help us go mobile!

EVERY DOLLAR MATCHED UP TO A TOTAL OF $100,000 THROUGH THE END OF 2018 THANKS TO AN ANONYMOUS DONOR!

One of the defining goals of our mission is to promote the spaying and neutering of companion animals. We took this goal to the next level by purchasing a used mobile surgical unit back in 2013 with the intent to reduce animal homelessness within our community. Our mobile clinic has achieved amazing results for our community and allows us to keep up with the demand for affordable veterinary care in Gila County. After years of use, our mobile clinic is no longer mobile. It is now stationary at our shelter location and has eliminated our ability to help any of the rural communities that are in need of veterinary care.

HSCAZ stands alone in a 900 square mile area of northern Gila County, a population of 25,000 people, a region that consists of many rural communities and poverty-stricken residents. HSCAZ would like to be able to reach these residents and their companion animals to not only reduce animal reproduction, but disease spread as well through vaccination and education.

HSCAZ has started a Capital Campaign to serve the needs of our entire county. Our goal is to get a mobile surgical unit by the beginning of 2019. This new mobile unit will help us efficiently use space and time to perform the necessary medical procedures that our shelter animals need, hold public low-cost spay/neuter clinics, and low-cost vaccination clinics. Our shelter veterinarian and our medical team will have updated equipment to perform the necessary medical procedures and save more lives.
